Mr. Nguyen Trung Nam is the current Deputy Director of the Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC) and senior partner of Dentons Luat Viet. This is Vietnam’s first mediation center to bring together a team of top mediators in the domains of law and economics. He is one of seven founding members of the Vietnam International Arbitration Institute (VIArb).

Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Law from the Diplomatic Academy (Hanoi) and went on to study for a master’s degree in Law with a concentration in International Commercial Law at the University of the West of England (UK). He earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Libre de Bruxelles School thanked to his hard work and dedication to his studies. In addition, he earned a bachelor’s degree in law from BPP University (UK), as well as the International Arbitrator and International Mediator credentials from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the United Kingdom.In addition to his law degrees, Mr. Trung Nam received the Outstanding MBA Award – Solvay School of Economics (2013), first place in the Asian Moot Court Competition in 2001, and competed in the PACE-organized Clive M. Schmitthoff Essay Writing Competition.

After more than 20 years of research and effort, lawyer Trung Nam has produced over 12 scientific research works, as well as noteworthy lectures and speeches, to the subject of Commercial Law and Commercial Arbitration in Vietnam. He founded EPLegal LLC, the first Vietnamese law practice focusing in the oil and gas business, and he is presently a Senior Member Lawyer at Dentons Luat Viet LLC. With his extensive expertise, he has become one of the few specialists who has a thorough knowledge of the circumstances and foundations for developing and implementing the system of laws governing modern business law.
